The 54th Annual Four Chaplains Banquet

Come join us for the 54th Annual Four Chaplains Banquet, which will start the one-year count-down to the 80th Anniversary of the Four Chaplains story. On February 3, 1943, the Four Chaplains "lived their call" when they helped save 230 passengers on the sinking U.S.A.T. Dorchester. Our mission is to tell the story of the Four Chaplains to help promote acts of selfless service and interfaith cooperation in individuals and organizations. Each year at our banquet, we tell the story of the Four Chaplains and honor individuals who have lived their lives serving their communities. This year, we plan to honor three individuals, who throughout their lives, proudly represented the Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation, through their everyday actions:
Charlie Kahn who served 70 years on the Chapel Board of Directors and Philadelphia business leader will be honored posthumously with a Legion of Honor Gold Medallion.
Lamar Golden who served on the Chapel Board of Directors and served as the National Commandant of the American Legion, will be honored posthumously with the Legion of Honor Humanitarian Award.
Mr. Steve Labov who served on the Chapel Board of Directors and also as a police chief, will be honored posthumously with a Life Saver Award.
These three individuals have set the standard for our Legion of Honor Awards program and we want to share their lives with you as we start the countdown to the 80th Anniversary banquet.

All ticket-holders and sponsors will be invited in the fall of 2022 to be able to preregister for the 80th Anniversary event.
