George L. Fox Memorial Chapel Campaign

Bottom Line Up Front: We need $30,000 by May 20 to buy a church. But not just any church...

I recently learned the church Chaplain (LT) George L. Fox preached in before becoming an Army Chaplain during WWII has gone up for sale.

I traveled to Gilman, VT and viewed the beautiful church which sits on an acre of woodland. The town would like to preserve it and the story of Chaplain Fox and the Four Chaplains.

Since 2023 is the 80th Anniversary year of the Four Chaplain story this would be an excellent way in celebrating their acts of selfless service by everyone supporting this call to action.

I sent a $1,000 check to the people of Gilman and told them I would ask "the Friends of the Chapel of Four Chaplains" if they would help raise money to save this historic church.

The Four Chaplains Memorial Foundation will help program events in the church and work alongside the leadership of Gilman and particular the members of American Legion Post 41 (in which Chaplain Fox was a member and chaplain).

We want to restore the church as a house of worship and a future chaplain retreat center to help inspire chaplains to serve in the military. Can you imagine a future or current minister being able to preach in the footsteps of Chaplain Fox? That would be unbelievable!

So, we need your help immediately. We are being given a very reduced purchase price if we can raise $30,000 by May 20. So, if everyone who sees this email or post gives a little bit I know we can produce an 80th Anniversary Miracle! So do not hesitate...donate today!
